Kamran Aman died in Barry on Monday night

Two teenage boys have appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a 38-year-old man from Barry.

The boys, aged 16 and 17 from Llantwit Major, who cannot be named because of their age, appeared at Cardiff Magistrates' Court.

Kamran Aman died after police were called to an incident in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, on Monday night.

In a tribute, Mr Aman's family said he was a "devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and loyal friend".

Neither defendant entered a plea, and both were remanded in youth detention.

The presiding magistrate told both defendants the charge they face was so serious that the case must now be sent to the crown court.

Both will appear in Cardiff Crown Court on Monday.

As the 16-year-old defendant left the dock, members of his family shouted, "love you" and "look after yourself in there alright boy".
