Boy, 13, held over gang's 'threatening behaviour'
A 13-year-old boy has been arrested over continuing antisocial behaviour in a town, after police officers were "met with threatening behaviour".
Large groups of youths were seen wearing balaclavas and carrying weapons in Rawtenstall on 20 August and officers experienced threatening behaviour while patrolling Bacup later that week, Lancashire Police said.
A 13-year-old boy from Bacup is being held on suspicion of affray and a public order offence of fear of violence by threatening words or behaviour.
He has been bailed but told he must keep out of the area, the force said.
