Man seriously injured in car and bike crash

A man was seriously injured in a crash involving a car and an off-road bike in Coventry.

West Midlands Police were called to Broad Lane shortly after 14:30 BST on Wednesday.

The hurt man in his 40s, believed to be the passenger on the off-road bike, was taken to hospital with a serious head injury.

The force said it was carrying out inquiries to find the bike and its rider.

Officers are speaking to witnesses and gathering CCTV footage.

The force wishes to speak to anyone who was driving in the area at the time of the crash.
