Man and woman suffer serious injuries in A40 crash

A man and a woman are in hospital with "potentially life-threatening injuries" after a crash which shut a road for more than eight hours.
Gwent Police said the pair in their 70s were the driver and front seat passenger of a crash between a Ford and a Jeep on the A40 in Raglan, Monmouthshire.
Firefighters, paramedics, and the air ambulance were at the scene along with police after they were called at 12:10 BST on Thursday.
The road has since reopened.
"The driver and front seat passenger of the Ford, a man and a woman in their 70s, have sustained potentially life-threatening injuries," a police spokesman said.
