A five-year-old child was taken by air ambulance to hospital in Bristol

A child has been airlifted to hospital after being injured at a Devon tourist spot.

Dartmoor Search and Rescue Team Ashburton said on Facebook it was called to Becky Falls, near Bovey Tracey, at about 12:25 BST on Sunday.

The team said the five-year-old child was severely injured and had to be taken by air ambulance to hospital in Bristol.

The post did not say how the child was injured.

Devon and Cornwall Police said officers were also called out to the scene.

When approached by BBC Devon, Becky Falls declined to comment on the incident.
