A walker had to be stretchered to safety after getting injured between the summits of Knockendoch and Criffel in the Southern Uplands.
Twenty-one members of Moffat and Galloway mountain rescue teams - including a paramedic - were sent to the scene on Monday afternoon.
The woman had slipped and suffered a suspected broken ankle on the hills near New Abbey.
She was given pain relief before being stretchered off the hillside to a waiting ambulance.

The two mountain rescue teams were called out by Police Scotland at about 13:30.
The injured woman was taken to hospital for further treatment and the rescuers stood down at 19:00.
