A shop worker was attacked during a robbery in Harrogate.

The worker was punched in the face after confronting a man who took trays of vapes from the Morrisons Daily store at about 07:20 GMT on Saturday.

North Yorkshire Police said the man threatened the worker with further violence, before running off with the vapes.

Officers have asked anyone who saw a man with a rucksack near the store, on King Edward's Drive, Bilton, to get in touch.

Anyone with CCTV, dashcam or doorbell video footage, taken in the area at around the time of the incident, is also asked to contact the force.
