A search for a missing diver is under way after reports of a person being in difficulty.

A helicopter, plane, rescue teams, a lifeboat and North Wales Police have been out trying to find the swimmer, said to have been in trouble off Porth Ysgaden, on the Llŷn peninsula in Gwynedd.

The alarm was raised at 13:15 GMT on Thursday, according to the coastguard.

The coastguard said it was coordinating the search.
