Appeal after man, 80, hit by reversing van dies

An 80-year-old man seriously injured when he was struck by a reversing van has died, prompting a police appeal for information.

The pedestrian was taken to hospital on 22 March after he was hot by the Ford Transit on Oldham Road in Middleton, Rochdale.

Greater Manchester Police said he died on Thursday.

The driver stopped and remained at the scene and the force is appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV, dashcam or mobile phone footage to come forward.
