Man arrested over college bomb threat

A man has been arrested after a bomb threat against a college resulted in students being put into lockdown, police have said.
Officers from Hampshire police were called to The Sixth Form College Farnborough at 11:35 GMT and advised that it immediately shut.
The force said no explosive devices had been found after a search and there were no reports of injuries. It said there was no longer any threat and the college had been taken out of lockdown.
A 40-year-old man from Farnborough was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill and remains in custody.
Other schools in the area were alerted as a precaution and also placed into lockdown before the threat was stood down, police said.
The college said exams had been cancelled as a result of the incident but it was now returning to normal.
