Man dies in hospital after being hit by car

A man has died in hospital two days after he was reported to have been hit by a car in Warwickshire.

Officers were called to reports of a man in his 40s being struck by a grey VW Polo on Coventry Road, near the junction with Stareton Lane, south of Stoneleigh, on Friday.

The man sustained serious injuries in the collision just before 20:30 GMT and was taken to hospital by ambulance. He died on Sunday.

Warwickshire Police has appealed for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage to contact the force.
