Indie band Cast have confirmed they will be supporting Oasis for the rock legends' "biblical" shows in 2025.

The Liverpool band, who came to prominence in the 1990s' Britpop explosion, are the second support act to be revealed for Oasis's global reunion tour.

The band, led by frontman John Power, will join the Manchester favourites for 19 sold-out shows in the UK and Ireland.

Richard Ashcroft, the former lead singer of The Verve, has also been announced as a support act.

Announcing the news, Cast said they were "delighted to confirm that we will be supporting Oasis".

"We can't wait to see you all for these biblical shows," they added.

Liam and Noel Gallagher will kick off their long-awaited 2025 reunion tour in July.

It will be the first time the Gallagher brothers have performed together since 2009.

Beginning in Cardiff, Oasis will also play dates in Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin.

Power formed Cast after leaving indie darlings The La's in 1991 and the band went on to have several top ten hits, including Sandstorm, Walkaway, Guiding Star and Beat Mama.

They released their seventh album, Love Is The Call, in February.
