Woman charged after dog attack on three-year-old

A woman has been charged following a report of a three-year-old girl being bitten by a dog in Kent, police have said.

Officers were called to the incident in Mierscourt Road in Rainham on 17 June when the child was taken to a London hospital for treatment to her arm.

She has since been discharged. A dog, believed to be a cockapoo, was seized.

Tracie Inkpen, 50, of Broadview Avenue, Gillingham was arrested and charged on Monday with being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury.

She has been bailed to appear before Medway Magistrates' Court at a later date.
