Guernsey butter to be sold in more Waitrose stores

Guernsey Dairy expects sales of its butter to rise after a UK supermarket agreed to stock it in more than 2,450 stores.
Operations director Andrew Tabel said he expected Waitrose's decision to stock the product would generate a 15% sales boost.
He said the dairy had increased its annual butter production by about 5,039 stone (32,000kg), some 125,000 packs of butter, after it stopped producing cheese in December.
He said Guernsey butter had previously only been available in a limited range of Waitrose stores as regular supplies could not be guaranteed.
Mr Tabel said: "The dairy is now able to increase the production of Guernsey butter by means of the milk and cream that would previously have been used to make cheese.
"Not only will this boost total butter sales by around 15%, but it will also increase the visibility and popularity of Guernsey Dairy products nationwide whilst promoting the island overall."
