Road closures warning ahead of roundabout works

Work on and around a busy East Yorkshire roundabout is to start next weekend.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council said it was investing £230,000 to resurface roads surrounding the Great Gutter Lane roundabout which links the B1232 Beverley Road with Grange Park Lane and Great Gutter Lane in Willerby.
The authority said the "essential improvements" involved resurfacing Grange Park Lane and some approach roads which would result in road closures during set times.
Resurfacing on Grange Park Lane is due to be carried out on Sundays until 27 July and the rest of the work will take place in August, the council said.
Motorists were warned of disruption with the works scheduled to take place between 16:30 BST and 23:00 on Sundays, outside of regular trading hours.
The resurfacing work on the approach roads is due to begin on 4 August during weekday evenings between 19:00 and midnight.
It is expected to take two weeks to complete.
Three-way temporary traffic lights will be in operation while Great Gutter Lane East will be shut.
Councillor Paul West, the authority's cabinet member for environment and transport, said: "This is a busy roundabout but needs to be upgraded, so we have purposefully timed our resurfacing during the evening to cause the least disruption.
"Thank you in advance to motorists, local residents and businesses for their cooperation and support while we finish these improvements."
The authority said, during the closures, the fast-food drive-through restaurants in Willerby Shopping Park would be accessible by foot with parking available on Great Gutter Lane West.
