Lane due to reopen on busy A-road before Christmas
A lane on a busy A-road that has been closed since the summer is set to reopen in time for Christmas.
The inside lane of the westbound A38 in Bristol, between the Filton roundabout and the Cribbs Patchway New Neighbourhood entrance, has been shut for improvement work.
South Gloucestershire Council said the majority of the work had now been carried out and the lane would reopen in the coming days.
However, a new cycle path built as part of the scheme will not be completed until January, the council added.
The project aims to make it easier for those who walk, cycle or use mobility scooters or pushchairs to get around the area.
Improvements include a cycle path, dropped kerbs, pedestrian crossings and new signage.
