Officer describes moment he found woman's body

A police officer has described the moment he discovered the body of a woman allegedly killed in her home.
Brian Simpson was charged with the murder of Kristine Sparane at her flat in Winsover Road, Spalding, on 26 November.
However, the 64-year-old was ruled unfit to face a criminal trial due to his mental health and a four-day trial of facts is instead under way to determine if he killed Ms Sparane.
Lincoln Crown Court was shown footage of the moment the 37-year-old was found with a pillow over her face.
'No, no, no'
An officer told the court: "I could see Kristine on the bed. The amount of blood surrounding her, it was clear she was deceased."
Mr Simpson was found lying facedown on the floor of a second bedroom with a blood-coated kitchen knife next to him and only his trousers on.
An uninjured, young child was also present in the room, the court heard.
She was removed and gave an account of what she had seen before being placed in a police car.
Officers initially believed Mr Simpson was dead but he was later heard making a number of comments before being taken to hospital.
He was heard to repeat the words "no, no, no" as well as "they're coming to kill me", jurors were told.
The hearing continues.
