Police investigate rape of teenager in city centre

Detectives have launched an investigation after a teenager was raped in Glasgow city centre.

Officers said the 19-year-old woman was attacked at about 01:55 on Friday in Sauchiehall Lane.

The scene, between the junction with Elmbank Street and Holland Street, was taped off following the incident.

Police Scotland confirmed inquiries into the serious sexual assault were ongoing.
