Man seriously injured in hit-and-run crash

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash.
Emergency services were called to Royal Parade in Eastbourne at about 18:30 GMT on Thursday.
A 35-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries after reports of a car hitting a pedestrian, Sussex Police said.
The vehicle left the scene without stopping and an investigation has been launched to identify and locate those involved, the force said.
It urged anyone with information to come forward.
