Man denies belonging to Islamic State group

A man has appeared in court, charged with belonging to the Islamic State (IS) group.
Musa Abdrabba, 23, from Worcester, is accused of being a member of the proscribed militant organisation between January 2023 and December 2024, and also professing to being a member of it in August 2023.
He appeared at Birmingham Crown Court on Monday, where he pleaded not guilty to both charges. He additionally denied two counts of refusing to grant access to a mobile phone when required.
Mr Abdrabba was remanded in custody, with his trial due to begin on 1 September.
