A new Bishop of Buckingham has been approved by the King according to Downing Street.

Reverend Canon David Bull will take on the role having previously served as Team Rector of Great Marlow with Marlow Bottom, Little Marlow and Bisham since 2012.

His appointment follows the unexpected death of the Right Reverend Dr Alan Wilson in February, who had served in the role for more than 20 years.

Bishop Bull said: "It is an exciting prospect to serve Buckinghamshire as Bishop in the coming years. My family have made it our home for the past 13 years and so we have already come to love many of the communities, schools and churches here."
