Driver arrested after woman, 86, seriously injured

A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and being above the alcohol limit after an 86-year-old woman was seriously injured in a collision.
Gwent Police said the pedestrian was taken to hospital after the incident inolving a black Suzuki Swift in Risca in Caerphilly county on Saturday night.
The 29-year-old man who was arrested remains in custody, police said on Sunday.
Officers are appealing for CCTV or dashcam footage after the incident in St Mary Street at about 22:10 BST, which was also attended by Welsh Ambulance Service paramedics.
