Man arrested after dog walker injured by XL bully
A man has been arrested after a dog walker was injured by an XL bully in East Sussex.
Police were called to reports of two dogs, believed to be XL bullies, fighting near Links Avenue in Peacehaven at 10:45 GMT on Monday.
One of the XL bullies, along with a Border Collie cross, was on the loose from a nearby vehicle when it attacked another XL bully being walked on a lead by its owner, police said.
The walker suffered cuts to his hands and his XL bully suffered minor injuries.
Police seized the XL bully that was loose and arrested its owner for having dogs dangerously out of control.
The man, 29, was also arrested for assaulting three police officers and damaging a police vehicle when being transported to custody.
Neither the injured man or dog required medical treatment.
The force said it had increased its presence in the area for reassurance to the public.
