Mr Gonzalez pleaded not guilty to obstruction of Tower Bridge

A 26-year-old man has pleaded not guilty to wilful obstruction of Tower Bridge during a pro-Palestine protest on 19 October.

Esteban Gonzalez appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Tuesday charged with the wilful obstruction of the free passage of Tower Bridge without lawful authority or excuse.

Wearing a jacket with a Palestine pin on his lapel, Mr Gonzalez, of Redbridge, spoke in court to confirm his name and address before entering his plea.

He was granted bail by Deputy District Judge Louise Balmain.

There will be a case management hearing at the same court on 16 January.
