Police are investigating a report that a 13-year-old girl was raped on Friday evening.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said they received a report that the girl was raped some time between 18:20 and 20:30 GMT in Totton, Hampshire.

The force said officers were conducting inquiries at a park in Testwood Lane, where the girl was left, and were working to obtain CCTV footage.

They said they were supporting the victim and asked anyone with information to come forward.
