One person was taken to hospital after an ambulance was involved in a crash with two other vehicles.

An East of England Ambulance Service Trust (EEAST) spokesman said it was notified of the collision on the A149 at Dersingham, near King's Lynn, Norfolk, at about 07:10 GMT.

"Five people were assessed at the scene and one patient was transported to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn with minor injuries," the spokesman said.

EEAST said the ambulance was not transporting patients and was responding to a blue light emergency.

Norfolk Police said no arrests had been made. The road was closed while the vehicles were recovered.

The ambulance trust said it had internal processes in place following road collisions involving its vehicles.
