A1 closed southbound after collision

Part of the A1 has been closed following a collision between a lorry and a van.

National Highways said the road had been shut southbound between the A47 at Peterborough and the A605 near Alwalton.

Cambridgeshire Police said emergency services were called to the scene at about 07:20 GMT.

A diversion route was put in place and drivers were warned to expect delays of about an hour.
