Cameron Gloria De-Almedia, from Leeds, faces trial for allegedly shared terrorist material

A man accused of sharing a large quantity of terrorist material while allegedly preparing to travel to "carry out violent jihad" has appeared in court.

Cameron Gloria De-Almedia, 21, is charged with six counts of transmitting the contents of a terrorist document and one count of possession of a document containing information useful to a terrorist.

Mr De-Almeida, of Garnet Place, Leeds, appeared at the Old Bailey via video link from Forest Bank prison in Manchester. He indicated he would deny two of the charges against him but admit the others dating from December 2024 to February.

Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb transferred the case to Leeds Crown Court where a plea hearing will be heard on 18 July.

Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb said: "This is a case of a young man accused of sharing large quantities of jihadi material against a background of communications in which he is preparing to travel in order to carry out violent jihad."

A provisional trial date was set for 7 March 2026.
