Police are appealing for witnesses after windows and solar panels were damaged by ball bearings in Canterbury.

The force said "a number" of homes in Sleigh Road, Sturry, were targeted between 14:45-15:15 BST on 13 May.

It said the small ball bearings were believed to have been launched with a catapult.

During the incident, a man was hit by one of the ball-bearings after it ricocheted off a building but was not injured.

Kent Police said it was looking into a similar report of criminal damage to an address in the same street between 3-4 May.

Officers are trying to identify two boys aged around 16 who were seen in the area at the time of the recent incident.

The teenagers are described as white, slim and 5ft 7ins tall.

Kent Police said one was believed to be blonde and wearing a white top with blue trousers and a grey jumper round his shoulders.

The other had brown hair and was wearing a grey jumper with a dark grey tracksuit.
