Hundreds of fans have gathered at Cardiff Airport to wish Wales well as they depart for this summer's Women's European Championship.

Supporters of all ages gave Rhian Wilkinson's squad a rapturous send off after qualifying for their first major tournament.

Wales kick off their Euro 2025 campaign in Switzerland against Netherlands on 5 July.

Kaylah, 12, from Sully, Vale of Glamorgan, said she will watch all the games on TV, especially favourite player Sophie Ingle.

"They represent our country and hopefully they'll win."

Her friend Nora, 12, said : "It's really entertaining, I love it. Wales are going to do amazing."

Chloe, 12, also from Sully, added: "The group [Wales have been drawn in] is tough but if they try their best, they'll be good."
