Part of major road reopened following collision

Norfolk Police says three vehicles were involved

A part of a major road used to get in and out of a city has been reopened following a multi-collision.

The eastbound carriageway of the A47 at Honingham near Norwich, has been closed due to an incident involving three vehicles from the B1535 at Wood Lane and Mattishall Road.

Norfolk Police, who were called at 07:23 GMT on Tuesday, said on X that recovery had been arranged however delays were expected in the area with heavy traffic as a result.

National Highways said on X that all emergency services were in attendance and while the road had now reopened delays were starting to ease.

The East of England Ambulance Service said one person was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital for further treatment.

Motorists using another part of the A47 at Trowse Newton have been experiencing delays following a collision near the A146 Loddon Road.
