Motorcyclist dies in crash with tree

A man has died after a motorcycle crashed into a tree.

The rider, a man in his 30s from Gosport, Hampshire, was pronounced dead at the scene on the town's Fort Road.

His next of kin have been informed.

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said it was investigating and appealed for anyone who saw the crash, the moments leading up to it or the aftermath, to come forward.
