Market to move during £1m town centre revamp
A market will be moved for five months to make way for a £1m revamp of a town centre.
Sleaford's weekly market and farmers' markets will relocate from the market place to Eastgate Car Park from 19 July until December 2024.
Plans for the development of the market place were approved in January after a decision was deferred twice following more than 200 objections.
North Kesteven District Council's (NKDC) proposals include new paving and seating areas with lighting to illuminate the war memorial and church.
Sleaford Town Council said the regular and weekly markets would be held in the car park while NKDC's work takes place.
The regular markets take place every Friday, Saturday and Monday, with the farmers' market on the first Saturday of every month.
