Woman found dead at home named by police

A woman whose death is being investigated as murder has been named by police.

Alicia Douglass, 35, was found dead at her home in Wincobank, Sheffield, on 7 August.

South Yorkshire Police said officers were called to the property in Walling Close following welfare concerns.

A man, aged 31 and from Sheffield, was arrested on suspicion of murder and has since been bailed pending further inquiries.

Senior investigating officer, Det Ch Insp Mark Oughton, said: “Our inquiries into Alicia’s tragic death are continuing at pace.

"We are keen to hear from anyone with any information that could help our investigation into this incident."

Anyone with information about Ms Douglass' death is asked to contact South Yorkshire Police.
