Two teenagers arrested in murder investigation

Two more teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in a residential street.

Kieran Shepherd, 30, died at the scene on Meadgate Avenue, in Great Baddow, near Chelmsford, at about 12:30 BST on Tuesday.

A 19-year-old man was previously arrested on suspicion of murder.

On Friday, police said another 19-year-old man and a 20-year-old man had also been arrested.

Det Insp Lydia George said the arrests were the "result of hundreds of officer hours".

"I’d like to thank every member of the public who has contacted us with information about this incident too. All this plays a part in securing justice for Kieran," she added.

"Our enquiries will continue while these three men are held in custody."

Mr Shepherd's family paid tribute to him describing him as a "kind and loving son, brother and father".

"Our lives will never be the same without him; he will be forever in our hearts," the statement read.

"His loss has left a massive hole in the lives of his family and friends."

They asked for privacy "at this difficult time".
