Police were called to reports of a vehicle reversing into a home

Homes were evacuated after a vehicle reversed into house leaving it badly damaged.

No one was in the property on Albourne Green in Middlesbrough when the vehicle hit at about 19:20 GMT on Sunday.

Cleveland Police said neighbours had to be evacuated "due to the damage".

Inquiries are ongoing and a cordon has been erected around the property.

A force spokesman said anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage should get in touch.
