Second teenager arrested over stabbing of boy, 16

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a 16-year-old boy was stabbed at the weekend.
West Midlands Police were called to reports of a stabbing on Pretoria Road, in the Bordesley Green area of Birmingham, at about 15:30 GMT on Saturday.
Officers said they had arrested a 15-year-old boy in the early hours of Wednesday, after also charging a 16-year-old boy over the attack on Tuesday.
They added that the injured boy remains in hospital in a stable condition.
The area covered by West Midlands Police has the second highest rate of knife crime in England and Wales, according to official figures released last month.
This area, which includes Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton, previously had the highest rate but reported knife crime fell in the latest figures.
About 200 people gathered on Pretoria Road on Sunday, a day after the Bordesley Green stabbing, to protest against knife crime.
The 16-year-old boy who was charged on Tuesday faces counts of wounding with intent, possession of an offensive weapon, and attempted robbery.
The region has seen a number of high-profile attacks involving teenagers and even children, including the death of 12-year-old Leo Ross, who was found with fatal stab wounds in the Hall Green area of Birmingham last month.
A 14-year-old has appeared in court charged with Leo's murder.
