Driving simulators and a full-scale McLaren Formula 1 car will be in Woking town centre this half-term to celebrate the team's success.

McLaren Racing will host a five-day event in Victoria Place shopping centre, including an interactive pit stop challenge.

Taking place from Wednesday to Sunday, the event will also feature a Formula 1 car with the team's 2025 livery days after its launch at an event in London.

The Surrey event will also celebrate the Formula 1 team's victory in the 2024 Constructors' Championship.

Anne-Marie Barker, leader of Woking Borough Council, said: "Woking is a proud supporter of its home team. McLaren make a huge contribution to our local economy and we're so pleased to be able to work together on this exciting event to mark McLaren Racing's success in the 2024 Constructors' Championship with the community.

The free event will run from 10:00 to 18:00 GMT each day.

Attractions will include a reaction time test and driving simulator outside Export House.

A pit stop challenge, where people can test their speed changing tyres on a full-scale car, will be outside Woking Superbowl on Saturday 22 February and Sunday 23 February.

The challenge will only be available to people over the age of 18.
