Motorcyclist dies in crash involving HGV

A man has died in a crash involving a motorbike and an HGV in Oxfordshire.

Police said a black Honda CBR 650 and an HGV with a trailer collided on the A361 South Newington Road, between Bloxham Road and New Road, near Milcombe, at about 13:45 BST on Friday.

The motorcyclist, a 22-year-old man, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

The road was closed while emergency services were at the scene, but has since reopened.

Det Con Darren Baker said: "Tragically, a man has died following this collision and our thoughts are with his loved ones."

Anyone who witnessed the crash, or who has dashcam footage, is urged to contact police.
