Detectives investigating a fatal shooting in Wolverhampton have arrested a man in Liverpool on suspicion of murder.

Neo Graham, 24, was shot dead in Eastfield Grove, near to a primary school, on Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect, 23, was held on Friday night and will be questioned in the West Midlands, police said.

Five men, aged between 19 and 48, were arrested from a car in Birmingham on Wednesday on suspicion of murder with one later being released, no further action to be taken. More time has been granted for police to question the other four.

Mr Graham's family paid tribute to him on Friday calling him a wonderful son, brother and grandson.

The shooting was just yards from a primary school which was put into lockdown as a precaution.

Officers have been carrying out extra patrols and working with the community to offer reassurance in the wake of the incident.

A spokesperson said: "We are making good progress in our investigation and we'd continue to ask anyone with information to contact us.

"We've set up this dedicated website where you can send information and video such as mobile phone, doorbell or dashcam footage, images and other information."
