Multiple fire crews tackled a barn fire for nearly four hours on Friday night.

Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue (DWFR) said pumps from Bridport Fire Station, Beaminster Fire Station and Maiden Newton Fire Station, as well as a water carrier from Yeovil Fire Station, were mobilised to the fire in Hooke, Dorset, just after 22:20 GMT.

The incident was scaled down to two relief pumps at 02:00 GMT, which remained on scene damping down, DWFR said.

There were no injuries.

Water was drawn from a nearby lake to bring the fire under control, DWFR said.

At 07:45 GMT the service said there was still one pump in attendance.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
