Trial date set for man, 83, accused of murder

A trial date has been set for an 83-year-old man who has been accused of murdering a woman found dead in her home.

Margaret Worby, 84, was found dead in a property on Kingsbury Avenue, Dunstable, by Bedfordshire Police just after 13:40 GMT on Thursday.

Roger Worby, of Kingsbury Avenue, was charged with murder and appeared at Luton Crown Court. He was remanded in custody.

A plea hearing was scheduled for 2 May and a provisional trial date was set for 14 July.
