A has woman suffered "potentially life-changing injuries" after a crash in Devon, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said emergency services were called to the A386 in Yelverton at about 21:55 BST on Monday after the crash between a BMW and a Honda.

Two people inside the BMW had to be cut free by firefighters, police said.

A police statement said the BMW driver, a woman in her 20s, was taken to hospital with possible life-changing injuries.

The passenger in the BMW and the Honda driver were both treated by paramedics at the scene, officers said.

Police said road closures were put in place while the crash was dealt with.

The road has since reopened.
