Back to school bus changes to two services
Two Leicestershire bus routes are being changed from Tuesday to accommodate school pupils.
Changes are being introduced by Centrebus in Melton Mowbray and Uppingham.
In Melton, discussions with Leicestershire County Council and parents of children attending John Ferneley College have led to an amended timetable being drawn up on the firm's 14 and 15 routes.
Each journey has been rescheduled to run 10 minutes earlier, to coincide with the start of the school day.
A Centrebus spokesperson said: "As we are not running up to the school, this will give students enough time to walk the short distance from their drop off point, Scalford Road, just before the bus turns right into Clark Drive. This will also be the pick up point for students in the afternoon."
The 747 Leicester to Uppingham service is also changing after consultation with the council.
Certain journeys have been extended to help pupils travelling to Uppingham Community College.
