A man is due to appear in court after a video showing the scene of a fatal crash was shared on social media.

On 4 June at about 17:40 BST a car, van and motorcycle were involved in a crash on the A14 westbound carriageway at Sproughton, Suffolk.

The motorcyclist died at the scene and later identified as Kevin Doherty, 44, from Somersham, near Ipswich.

A 38-year-old man from Ipswich was arrested after the video was shared and is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates' Court on 19 December where he will be formally charged with two offences.

The man will be charged with sending an offensive/indecent/obscene message/matter by public communication network as well as using a mobile phone while driving.

Mr Doherty's family previously issued a tribute to him, describing him as a "loving" father, son, brother and uncle.

"His passing has left a void in our family and our hearts that can never be filled," they said.

"He will be greatly missed by all that knew him."
