Men jailed over gunshots fired at family home

Three men convicted of attempted murder after gunshots were fired at a family home in Birmingham have been jailed.
Aairus Rehman was sentenced to 22 years while Shomari Mapp and Shaquon Richardson-Bowen were each given a 20-year sentence over the shooting on Glendower Road in Perry Barr on 18 May last year.
Mapp and Richardson-Bowen, both 22, were also found guilty of arson. Rehman, 22, admitted the charge after a stolen car used to drive from the scene was set on fire.
A man in his 60s was injured by broken glass after a bullet struck a window in the home.
Three gunshots were fired in quick succession at about 23:00 BST on 18 May 2024, targeting the upstairs and downstairs windows of the property, West Midlands Police said.
A camera at the front of the address was damaged in an attempt to conceal identities, police added.

The three offenders, all from Birmingham, were sentenced at Birmingham Crown Court on Friday.
To run concurrently to their sentences for attempted murder, Rehman, from Ringinglow Road, received 15 months for arson, and Mapp, of Melvina Road, and Richardson-Bowen, of Severne Road, were given 18 months for the same offence.
