Man seriously hurt after being repeatedly pushed

A man has suffered serious injuries after he was repeatedly pushed causing him to fall over in a town centre.

Northamptonshire Police said the man, in his 50s, was taken to hospital after he was found unconscious on Sheep Street, Northampton, following the assault, which happened between about 19:20 and 19:40 BST on Saturday.

Officers said he was pushed a number of times during the incident and they appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

The man remains in hospital in a "serious condition", it added.
