Drivers have been warned of lengthy delays on the M5 in the West Midlands and Worcestershire after a crash and vehicle fire.

The crash involved three cars between junction four for Longbridge, Birmingham, and junction three for Quinton northbound at about 08:20 BST, the ambulance service said.

One woman was treated for injuries which were not thought to be serious before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham as a precaution.

Another woman was checked over and discharged at the scene with minor injuries, the ambulance service added.
