EV chargers and restaurant in £6m plan for village
A £6m development with electric vehicle (EV) charging bays, a shop and a café or restaurant has been proposed for North Kessock.
Highland councillors are due to consider the plans for the Black Isle village at a meeting next week.
Local authority planning officers have recommended granting permission, but the proposals have received a number of local objections including one from the community council.
Developer West Coast Estates said the site north of Barclay Gardens could create more than 100 jobs.
Fifteen EV charging bays and 23 parking spaces have been proposed.
West Coast Estates said it was pleased the project had been recommended for approval.
A spokesperson said: "We aim to cater to residents living in the area as well as those travelling north and south of the country.
"Discussions with retailers to occupy the spaces are ongoing, though no formal agreements have been finalised at this stage."
