Sex offender jailed for making 'paedophile manual'

A registered sex offender has been jailed for possessing a book which described how to sexually abuse children.
Matthew Matthiason was previously convicted of making indecent photographs or pseudo photographs of children, Lancashire Police said.
The 39-year-old had also been using multiple names he had not registered with police in breach of his sex offender notification requirements.
He was sentenced to 10 months at Preston Crown Court after pleading guilty to failing to comply with sex offender notification requirements and possession of a paedophile manual.
'Investigate any concerns'
Matthiason, formerly of Waterloo Road, Blackpool, was arrested in April and the paedophile book he had made was found during a search of his house, police said.
Following his sentencing, police said they "monitor sex offenders in the community and won't hesitate to take action against them if they breach the restrictions placed upon them by the courts".
"We will fully investigate any concerns or safeguarding issues which are raised," the force added.
